📧Email Capture

Capture emails from users chatting with your AskAI after their first message. Use them for lead generation, better customer support, or responding to issues that your AskAI couldn't resolve.

Available on Pro accounts and above

Email capture is only currently available in chat mode

Once you provide your email, our software remembers it, ensuring you're not asked for it again in future visits.

If you need to verify this functionality and have already entered your email, try accessing the site in incognito mode, as it provides a fresh session without prior data.

Or follow our step-by-step instructions below

  1. Open the Dashboard: myaskai.com/ask-ai-dashboard

  2. Click "Open AskAI" on the AskAI you'd like to capture emails for

  1. Click "Customize/Settings".

  1. Toggle "Capture user email" on.

  1. (Optional) Edit the message asking for your user's email.

  1. (Optional) You can make email collection optional or mandatory, if it is optional the user can still send a message, the email capture is then hidden.

  1. Click "Save changes"

  1. You won't see it on your Admin view, but to check it's working, go to your Share Link.

  1. Click "copy"

  1. Paste the Share Link into a new tab.

  2. Ask a question to your AskAI.

  1. Enter your email in the email capture field.

  1. Click "➡️" and your email will be recorded and you can continue with your conversation.

  1. To see the emails captured, navigate back to your AskAI admin view and click "Analytics"

  1. Then click "Download all questions and answers" and a CSV file will download with all questions asked to your AskAI along with the corresponding email addresses.
