The best way to get started

  1. Once you have built your AskAI we always recommend the best place to start is by testing it. Start asking real questions you get from your customers, this will help you understand better what it is good at and where it needs improvement.

  2. There are loads of ways you can improve your AskAI’s answering abilities, but remember it will probably never be able to answer 100% of queries.

  3. Once you are happy with it, when user queries come in, copy and paste them to your AskAI to see how it does, then reply with the response.

  4. Once you are at the stage where you are making few to no changes, then it's time to go live and embed your AskAI in your site for customers to interact with directly.

  5. You can then monitor how it gets on with your analytics.

Driving customers to your content and docs

Every answer your AskAI gives comes with source links of where in your content it got its answer from, so your users can learn more and see full guides, videos or diagrams (and you can be sure they are getting the right answer).

You can choose if you want to collect an email and name for anyone interacting with your AskAI.

You can then get this email straight from your analytics to see whether or not they were a customer, what they wanted to find out, or where to contact them to help if your AskAI was unable to.

They’ll only ever have to input this once, and if they don’t give it right away, we’ll ask one more time if the AskAI is unable to answer their question.

Your AskAI won’t be able to answer everything. If it hasn’t been taught it, it won’t answer.

When it can't, you can set your own custom β€œI don’t know” response, in your business’ voice, maybe even linking to an email address or link they can contact if they need an answer.
